Camden Show
The University of Sydney branch of the Legumes for Sustainable Agriculture Hub participated in the Camden Show in 2017. The Camden Show is the largest event in the Macarthur Region which attracts over 40,000 people a year and promotes agriculture and education.

Our stand was part of the Kids Interactive Tent working with local groups including the Macarthur Centre for Sustainable Living, the Camden Town Farm Community Garden and the Macarthur Beekeepers Association. The groups worked in conjunction to promote concepts like where do our foods come from and minimising food waste. For our part we promoted the growth and consumption of legumes. On the Friday morning alone we interacted with over 4,000 school children.
A number of University staff participated in making the event a success including Assoc Prof Brent Kaiser, Dr Jodie Richardson, Dr Julie Dechorgnat, Dr Claudia Keitel, Dr William (Tam) Salter, Hero Tahaei, Shahnoosh Hayamanesh, Kathy Donohoe, Christopher Rothwell, Michelle Demers, Vanessa Wells, Deepak Baranwal, Muhammad Uddin and James Bell.
